Harvey Weinstein has surrendered himself to police in New York.

The disgraced film producer arrived at a police station in New York to face charges over sexual misconduct allegations, following a grand jury investigation.

Harvey was arrested on charges that he raped one woman and forced another to perform oral sex on him, according to CNN.

Manhattan prosecutors will allegedly charge him with first and third-degree rape in one case and a first-degree sex act in a second case. He’s expected to appear in court later today.

Harvey’s bond is expected to be set at $2 million.

Over 70 women have accused Harvey of sexual misconduct, including harassment and rape.

The allegations made against Harvey sparked the rise of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements – which aim to protect women from harassment and abuse.

It’s understood that Harvey is being charged over an allegation made by Lucia Evans, dating back to 2004.

A number of high-profile actresses have publicly accused Harvey of sexual misconduct, including Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, and Salma Hayek.
