Harvey Weinstein has been charged with raping a third woman and with two counts of predatory sexual assault.
The rape charge relates to a 2006 incident and was brought before the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office where a grand jury has voted to indict Harvey Weinstein.
District attorney Cyrus Vance reports that he is facing additional counts of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree for a forcible sexual act against a third woman, as well as two counts of Predatory Sexual Assault.
He may now face life in prison as Predatory Sexual Assault charges carry a minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life behind bars.
He was already facing charges of Rape in the First Degree and Criminal Sexual Act in the First and Third Degree, so three charges will be added to those.
