The allegations made against Harvey sparked the rise of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements – which aim to protect women from harassment and abuse.

It’s understood that Harvey will be charged over an allegation by at least one accuser, Lucia Evans, dating back to 2004.

A number of high-profile actresses have publicly accused Harvey of sexual misconduct, including Ashley Judd, Gwyneth Paltrow, Uma Thurman, and Salma Hayek.
