Hailee Steinfeld has broken her silence on rumours she is dating Justin Bieber.
The actress and singer insisted during an interview on the SiriusXM Morning Mash Up radio show that claims she is romantically involved with the pop star are not true.
“I am not,” she said when asked if she is dating Justin. “I know, it’s crazy. I don’t know why people make such a big deal.”
Hailee added: “We’re friends. We’ve been friends for years and, yeah.”
The Edge of Seventeen star’s comments came following TMZ‘s report that she and Justin have been dating for over a month.
The publication stated they were introduced by pastor Carl Lentz, whose church they both attend, and shared a snapshot which showed the pair FaceTiming a few weeks ago.
And one Instagram user posted a photo of the singer and the actress hanging out in New York City on Monday after the Met Gala, which was also attended by Justin’s exes Selena Gomez, Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie.
However Hailee is still believed to be in a relationship with Cameron Smoller, who shared a photo of the pair together just a few days ago.
