George Clooney has addressed his former ER co-star Vanessa Marquez’s harassment claims.
During the week, the actress posted a series of tweets claiming that George helped “blacklist” her from popular drama series ER back in 1995.
Vanessa retweeted an article in which George spoke out against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, and wrote, “Clooney helped blacklist me when I spoke up abt harassment on ER. ‘Women who dont play the game lose career.’ I did.”
The 48-year-old also retweeted her own posts from earlier this year, in which she claimed that she was “racially and sexually harassed on set daily.”

The actress also alleged that she went to one of the producers for help, which resulted in her being “blacklisted” from the show forever.
Responding to Vanessa’s claims, George told E! News, “I had no idea Vanessa was blacklisted. I take her at her word. I was not a writer or a producer or a director on that show. I had nothing to do with casting. I was an actor and only an actor.”
“If she was told I was involved in any decision about her career then she was lied to. The fact that I couldn’t affect her career is only surpassed by the fact that I wouldn’t.”
