The star was holidaying in Sardinia with his wife Amal when the incident occurred.
According to TGR Rai Sardegna the 57-year-old’s bike collided with a car at Costa Corallina.
La Nuova posted a photo which appears to suggest the actor’s bike collided with a car on a motorway smashing the car’s windscreen.
George was brought to John Paul II hospital in Olbia but has since been released.
He has been living in Sardinia for the summer to film a new TV series, Catch 22.
