Friends of Meghan Markle have insisted she is “not a diva” and that rumours about her behaviour in the Royal family can’t be true.
Actress Janina Gavankar has jumped to the Duchess’s defence, a week after giving birth to her first son Archie.
“Meghan and I have talked about her being a mother for over a decade. She’s always wanted to be a mum,” she revealed to US presenter Gayle King.
Gayle is a “close friend” of the Royal couple and was at their star-studded Royal wedding, as well as Meghan’s lavish NYC baby shower.
The TV host also spoke to Meghan’s long time make-up artist Daniel Martin, who beamed about Meghan’s new arrival.
“Their child is going to represent what the world is now. It’s the dawn of a new generation.”
He also revealed that Prince Harry is “so good with kids”.
“When they were doing the family portrait after the wedding with everybody, he was on the floor playing with the kids.
“And that’s when I knew he was going to be the coolest dad,” he said.
Daniel added that he gets frustrated reading stories about her “diva” behaviour, insisting those reports are far from the truth.
“What’s so frustrating is that you hear these stories and there’s no truth to them,” he said.
“It’s not the same person. In the years I’ve known her, the years I’ve worked with her, she’s never had a diva fit.’
Pal Janina added: “She doesn’t read the bad or the good because… she knows the metrics you have for your own life cannot be based on a headline that somebody else wrote”.
