We FINALLY know when Riverdale will be back on our screens

We're all missing Archie and the gang

It’s been one month since the season two finale of hit teen drama, Riverdale.

For fans already going through withdrawal, there is some good news, as the show has been renewed for a third season – and we finally know when it’s going to be back on our screens.

The official Archie Comics Twitter account have announced that Riverdale’s third season will premiere on October 10th, 2018, at 8pm on the CW network.

While we don’t have the CW network on our screens in Ireland, the show’s episodes are available on Netflix the day after they premiere in the US.

But which characters will be returning?

It goes without saying the core four (Archie, Jughead, Veronica, and Betty; played by KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes, and Lili Reinhart) will all be back.

Madelaine Petsch also confirmed on Instagram that her character, Cheryl Blossom, will be returning as well.

And the two characters that will be given more screen time?

Both Vanessa Morgan (Toni Topaz) and Charles Melton (Reggie) have revealed that they’ll have more prominent roles in the show’s next season.

However, it’s not all good news for Charles Melton, as the actor hit headlines earlier this week for a series of fat-shaming tweets he posted on Twitter back in 2011/2012.
