Jennifer Aniston reunited with her ex-husband Justin Theroux to say goodbye to their beloved dog Dolly on Sunday night.
The former couple, who parted ways in 2017, got together to mourn the death of their rescue pooch – who they both shared even after their split.
Taking to Instagram, Justin shared photos of Dolly’s body covered in petals, and in one of the pics – Justin and Jennifer can be seen holding hands.
He captioned the post: “Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle… our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield. She was surrounded by her entire family.”
Quoting George Vest, the actor added: “The one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungrateful… is the dog— faithful and true, even in death.”
He concluded his post by saying “Rest In Peace Dolly,” and urged others to adopt their pets instead of buying them.
