Ellen DeGeneres has been considering whether or not to end her much-loved talk show.
The 60-year-old recently extended her contract to 2020, but was close to ending the show beforehand and has been on the fence ever since.
In an interview with The New York Times, the presenter’s wife, Portia De Rossi, admitted that she’d like Ellen to end the show: “I just think she’s such a brilliant actress and standup that it doesn’t have to be this talk show for her creativity.”
“There are other things she could tackle. I don’t see the end of her show as her career ending” she continued.
Meanwhile, Ellen said that her brother feels she should stay on as a talk show host: “She gets mad when my brother tells me I can’t stop.”
The celeb has been hosting The Ellen DeGeneres Show since 2003, after working as a stand-up comedian for quite some time.
Ellen recently returned to the stage for her new stand-up show on Netflix though, which is set to be released on 18th December.
