Donald Trump insists he ‘made no bad comment’ about Meghan Markle

Awkward...

Donald Trump has insisted that he “made no bad comment” about Meghan Markle.

Last week, The Sun published an interview with Trump, in which he was told that Meghan had branded him “misogynistic” back in 2016.

Trump seemed surprised by her comment, and said: “I didn’t know that. What can I say? I didn’t know that she was nasty.”

However, when speaking with reporters at the White House before he flew to the U.K. for his first state visit on Monday, the US President declined to apologise or clarify what he said.

He insisted: “I made no bad comment,” before praising Meghan and wishing her well following the birth of her son.

Just hours later, the US President came face-to-face with Meghan’s husband, Prince Harry.

After attending a private luncheon hosted by the Queen, Harry joined Trump, Melania, his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner to view a special exhibition in the Picture Gallery.

In photos taken during their visit to the gallery, Harry seemed to be keeping his distance from Trump.

Later on Monday evening, the Queen hosted a state banquet dinner at Buckingham Palace.

Harry didn’t attend the lavish banquet, but Kate Middleton and Prince William were in attendance.
