Demi Lovato didn’t ‘suffer’ overdose but caused it according to interventionist

Demi Lovato didn’t suffer an overdose but caused it, a famous interventionist has claimed.

The pop star remains in hospital following her drug overdose earlier this week but Jeff VanVonderen explained to TMZ that her emergency resulted from choosing to stop using the tools that kept her sober.

The interventionist, who appeared on the A&E show “Intervention”, believes she will be able to regain her sobriety.

He cited her previous six-year stint being sober as a major indicator that the star has the strength to recover.

In the weeks leading up to her overdose Demi fired her sobriety coach.

She had also been partying hard with the crew she was on tour with and on the night of her OD she had been on a twelve-hour bender.

Her family are looking after her now and have plans to get her to rehab as soon as she can leave the hospital.
