Chris Pratt is said to be “smitten” with his new love interest Katherine Schwarzenegger.
Last week, the 39-year-old actor and the 28-year-old author, who is the daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, were spotted enjoying a picnic together near Santa Barbara.
Since the pictures emerged, rumours have been rife that the pair are now an item – and sources say Chris is “very happy” with Katherine.
“It’s still very new between Chris and Katherine but the picnic was not their first date. They have been on multiple low key dates and have been talking consistently for the last two months or so,” a source told E! News.
“They both really like each other. Chris is smitten by Katherine and is super happy about how it’s going so far.”
The source also added that Katherine’s mom, Maria, helped to set them up, as “she knows Chris through mutual friends.”
The news comes almost a year after the Hollywood star announced his split from Anna Faris, after eight years of marriage.
In a statement, the former couple, who share a son named Jack, said, “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.”
“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”
While Chris appears to have moved on with Katherine, Anna has found love with cinematographer Michael Barrett.
