Cardi B responds after Tekashi 6ix9ine claims she’s a member of Nine Trey gang in court

The rapper has claimed that Cardi is affiliated with the New York City gang

Cardi B has furiously denied claims that she’s affiliated with “violent” New York City gang Nine Trey Gangster Bloods.

The rapper was forced to respond, after Tekashi 6ix9ine allegedly named her as a member of the gang during a cross examination amid his highly publicised trial.

Responding to his allegation in a since-deleted tweet, Cardi said: “You just said it yourself… Brim not 9 Trey. I never been 9 Trey or associated with them.”

Cardi also poked fun at Tekashi by sharing the viral meme of KeKe Palmer responding to a photo of Dick Cheney during an interview with Vanity Fair.

In the video, Keke says: “I hate to say it. I hope I don’t sound ridiculous. I don’t know who this man is. I mean, he could be walking down the street, I wouldn’t — I wouldn’t know a thing.”

Last year, Cardi opened up about being a member of the Brim Bloods gang, which is separate to Nine Trey, in New York.

Speaking to GQ, she said: “When I was 16 years old, I used to hang out with a lot of… Bloods. I used to pop off with my homies.”

“And they’d say, ‘Yo, you really get it poppin’. You should come home. You should turn Blood. And I did. Yes, I did. And something that—it’s not like, oh, you leave. You don’t leave”
