Cardi B ‘in talks to join Maroon 5’ at Super Bowl 53 halftime show – but there’s a catch

The Super Bowl takes place early next year

Cardi B is reportedly in talks to join Maroon 5 during their halftime show performance at Super Bowl 53.

The band, fronted by Adam Levine, is strongly-tipped to headline the sporting event’s halftime show early next year – and now it’s been reported that Cardi B will join them on stage to perform their hit song Girls Like You.

However, TMZ has reported that Cardi has requested her own solo set, rather than performing just one song.

The 25-year-old has barely performed since welcoming her first child in June, so she’s trying to secure the best deal possible.

The Super Bowl halftime gig has long been a goal for Adam Levine. Back in 2015, the singer told Howard Stern that they “very actively want to play the Super Bowl”.

Super Bowl 53 takes place Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
