Cardi B believes that her husband Offset is being targeted by Police.
The Migos rapper was recently arrested for alleged possession of a firearm.
The new mother has reportedly insinuated that her baby’s father was arrested because he is a successful black man.
According to TMZ, Cardi told her friends, “Offset was pulled over for doing nothing more than being a rich, successful black rapper.”
The site also reported that the ‘Bodak Yellow’ singer doesn’t believe Offset broke the law.
The 25-year-old is said to have told her friends, “he doesn’t own any firearms.”
The rapper is reportedly concerned about his newborn daughter and Cardi as the first few weeks are so important for new parents.
Offset’s attorney spoke out about the incident and said, “He did not commit any traffic offenses and he certainly was not in possession of any weapons.”
“This was an improper arrest and I believe in his innocence.”
“Offset’s holding up as best he can considering the circumstances and knows he has not broken any laws.”
“He is going to have his day in court,” Findling finished.
The young couple were overjoyed to welcome their first child earlier this month.
