Cardi B has admitted that her ongoing feud with Nicki Minaj is “bad for business.”
The two rappers have been feuding for months and even came into a physical altercation at a New York Fashion Week event, back in September, followed by various social media call outs.
Cardi appeared on CBS’ Sunday Morning yesterday, where she labeled the drama “unnecessary” and when asked if she was embarrassed by the feud, the rapper said: “Am I ever embarrassed about anything that I do? No.”
“You know a lot of people like to say, any publicity is good publicity, to me it’s not because that takes away from people paying attention to your craft,” the 26-year-old added.
The Bodak Yellow rapper has had a successful year, but admitted that she has experienced a lot of hate too.
“When I was like a nothing, everybody was rooting. And now that I’m finally here, people have a problem for it. I work so hard, why do people feel like I don’t deserve it?”
Cardi was nominated for five Grammy awards including ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Album of the Year’ and ‘Best Rap Album’.
‘I Like It’ was nominated as ‘Record of the Year’, while ‘Be Careful’ was nominated for ‘Best Rap Performance’ and she was also nominated for ‘Best Pop Duo/Group Performance’ for her feature on Maroon 5’s ‘Girls Like You – Remix’.
