Britney Spears has entered a mental health facility – ‘she’s distraught’

Britney Spears has been committed to a mental health facility, it has been reported.

The popstar was admitted amid reports she has been “distraught” about her father’s health problems.

According to TMZ Britney has already been there for a week and is expected to stay for 30 days at least.

It comes three months after the Toxic singer revealed she had to cancel her Las Vegas residency to care for her father.

Sharing a photo on her Instagram Britney seemed to confirm her treatment, writing: “We all need to take time for a little ‘me time.’ :)”.
