Brad Pitt has demanded Straight Pride organisers stop using his name and image to promote their event.
According to TMZ, the Hollywood actor threatened to sue the group Super Happy Fun America for using him as a mascot on their website.
The group allegedly claimed that Brad was “the face” of Straight Pride, a movement they started to “educate the public, politicians and civil servants about the straight community” and the “unique problems” they claim to face.
Super Happy Fun America have since removed all images and mentions of Brad from their website.
The group’s decision to organise a ‘Straight Pride’ parade was previously criticised by Avengers actor Chris Evans.
In a sarcastic message on Twitter, Chris wrote: “Wow! Cool initiative, fellas!! Just a thought, instead of ‘Straight Pride’ parade, how about this: The ‘desperately trying to bury our own gay thoughts by being homophobic because no one taught us how to access our emotions as children’ parade? Whatta ya think? Too on the nose??”
