It’s been dubbed the movie of the year before it’s highly-anticipated release this week, but things got awkward for Joaquin Phoenix as he promoted Joker.
The award-winning actor appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, when the host revealed director Todd Phillips had sent him an outtake of the actor arguing with the Cinematographer.
After sharing the awkward clip, Joaquin apologised, and said he was embarrassed that the clip was shown and that it was meant to be private:
“Look, sometimes movies get intense because you’re a lot of people in a small space and you’re trying to find something. So it can feel intense,” he said.
“But it was supposed to be private, I’m a little embarrassed, I’m sorry about that. Sorry you guys had to see that. It’s not Larry’s fault.”
