After taking some time away from the spotlight, the 25-year-old singer is set to perform at the first-ever Barbara Berlanti Heroes Gala benefiting F**k Cancer on October 13.

Kristin Chenoweth and Jeff Garlin will also be performing, while Arrow star Stephen Amell will receive the Hero Award for his exceptional work raising funds and awareness for the organization.

Ariana was also supposed to be the musical guest on the season 44 premiere of Saturday Night Live late last month, but she backed out due to “emotional reasons” – leaving the spot open for Kanye West.

The former Disney star has suffered a multitude of losses over the past year and a half.

Over a year after the devastating Manchester terror attack, which claimed the lives of 22 people on May 22, 2017 – the singer’s ex-boyfriend was found dead at his home in LA on September 7, 2018.

The rapper, who Ariana dated for over two years, died due to a suspected drug overdose, but officials are still awaiting the toxicology results.

Following the news of his death, Ariana released a heartbreaking statement, in which she apologised for not being able to “fix” him.

Mac’s family have organised a benefit concert to celebrate his life and legacy later this month, which will feature performances by major artists including Chance the Rapper, Travis Scott, and SZA.
