Ariana Grande did something very sweet for a group of fans, after she was forced to cancel her concert in Kentucky due to illness.

The 26-year-old pulled out of her scheduled gig in Lexington just hours before she was due on stage on Sunday night.

According to the Lexington Herald Leader, a group of about 40 fans who had gathered for the gig consoled each other over lunch at a restaurant next to the concert venue – and Ariana picked up the bill for them all.

Over the weekend, Ariana had warned her fans that she may have to postpone some shows, as she’s been “very sick”.

She told them:”I don’t know how it’s possible but my throat and head are still in so much pain.”

“The last thing I would ever want to do is cancel a show at this point with so few left.  I’m truly cherishing every moment of this… I just really don’t know what’s happening with my body right now and need to figure it out.”

“Please take this as a gentle heads up…I don’t want anyone to feel blindsided tomorrow if God forbid I can’t make the show happen. I’m on all the meds. Getting IV drips, doing everything I possibly can to pull through.”

“Mum and friends are taking good care of me. Just a scary feeling. ‘Love you with all my heart and will keep you posted.”

Then on Sunday, Ariana told her Instagram followers: “So I woke up 10 times worse and it hurts so bad to swallow, I’m not really sure what’s going on.”

“I don’t think I will be able to push through tonight and I’m so upset. But of course, obviously you’ll be refunded etc but I’m really devastated, thank you for understanding and sending love.”

“I’ll keep you posted, as soon as I know what’s going on with my body but thank you for understanding.”
