Ariana Grande responds after Kanye West slams her for weighing in on Drake feud

The singer got caught up in Kanye's Twitter war with Drake

Ariana Grande has responded to Kanye West, after the rapper slammed her for weighing in on his feud with Drake.

Since Thursday night, the rapper has continued to publicly slam Drake on Twitter, after accusing him of threatening his family.

After Kanye’s tweets went viral and started hitting headlines, pop starlet Ariana tweeted: “guys, i know there are grown men arguing online rn but miley and i dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y’all could please jus behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that’d be so sick thank u.” [sic]

However, Kanye didn’t seem to take Ariana’s comments kindly, as he reposted her tweet alongside the caption: “I know Ariana said this to be cool and didn’t mean no harm but I don’t like even slightest level of slight commentary from someone I know loves and respects me.”

In another tweet, Kanye continued, “All of this foolishness weighed on my mental health so @ArianaGrande you know I got love for you but until you’re ready to really make sure everyone’s ok don’t use me or this moment to promote a song.”

In response, Ariana apologised to Kanye, but slammed his claim that she used their feud to promote her new song, Imagine.

She tweeted, “with all due respect, i don’t need to use anyone to promote anything. period. i was making a comment ab what men were doing at the time vs. women. it was a joke which i understand now was probably insensitive. i apologize if i was in any way triggering and hope u feel well today.” [sic]

When a fan responded to Ariana saying, “girl you better retract that apology rn, you didn’t do anything wrong,” the singer replied, “for potentially triggering him? nah regardless of how i feel about a situation, i can also care about their mental health.”
