Ariana Grande has deleted a number of tweets about Mac Miller losing the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album to Cardi B.

The rapper was nominated for his first Grammy Award after he passed away in September and his mother and father both attended the award show on his behalf.

While Mac missed out to Cardi, the mother-of-one dedicated her award to the rapper and said: “I read an article that Mac Miller’s family said that if he don’t win, they want me to win, so I’m sharing this Grammy with you, motherf**ker! Rest in peace!”

When it was announced that the 26-year-old won Best Rap Album, Ariana Grande shared a number of tweets in which she showed her anger about Mac not winning.

The singer went on to tell fans that she wasn’t angry at Cardi for winning the award, but she was annoying the Mac’s family were invited to the event.

“They invited his parents out. No,” Ari tweeted.

When a follower said that they didn’t think the singer was throwing shade at Cardi with her tweets, Ariana responded: “nothing to do w (sic) her. good for her. i promise. i’m (sic) sorry.”

The 25-year-old also replied to a fan who called Cardi “trash” as she defended the rapper and said: “she’s not at all and that’s not what i meant and u know that”.

When another fan said “Y’all invited Mac’s parents out and you didn’t give him an award are y’all DUMB? @RecordingAcad”, Ariana tweeted: “this. this is what i meant. karen (sic) was gonna have a green suit made.”
