Following her huge divorce settlement from A lister ex husband Johnny Deep, Amber Heard is putting her money to good use.
The boho queen’s name was on the donor list honor roll for the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, which means she would have donated between $1,000,000 and $4,999,999.
The Aquaman star was adamant about the fact that money was not a motivation in her divorce from Depp, whose net worth is reportedly over $200 million.
The young actress released a statement following the divorce where she stated her intentions to donate the settlement to charity saying, “As described in the restraining order and divorce settlement, money played no role for me personally and never has, except to the extent that I could donate it to charity and, in doing so, hopefully help those less able to defend themselves.”
Heard was awarded $7 million in the divorce and is clearly putting her money where her mouth is. She’s worked as a volunteer at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles for over 10 years.
The 31 year old recently spent a week in Jordan as a delegate for the Syrian American Medical Society where she met Syrian refugees at camps in the area.
Speaking to the Associate Press about the trip she said, “My biggest takeaway from this trip is the indelible mark left on my soul after spending a week on the ground here.”
