Alec Baldwin denies punching man in the face following his arrest in New York

Alec Baldwin has denied that he punched a man in the face, after he was arrested in New York.

The actor was allegedly charged with assault after it was reported that he punched a 49-year-old man in the face, following an argument about a parking space.

According to BBC, the 60-year-old was ordered to appear in court on 26th November and was charged with misdemeanour assault and harassment, after the man was brought to hospital as a result of the alleged attack.

The father-of-four has since taken to Twitter to deny that he punched the 49-year-old and said: “1- Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story.”

“However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false. I wanted to go on the record stating as much. I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative.”

“2- negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment,” he continued.

“Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos, it doesn’t make the statements true.”

This isn’t the first time Alec has had a run in with the law, as he was arrested in 2014 for cycling his bicycle in the wrong direction on the street and became aggressive with police when they approached him.
