A$AP Rocky has spoken out for the first time since his arrest and subsequent release from jail in Sweden.
The rapper was performing at the Real Street Festival in California on Sunday when he addressed his release. A$AP arrived back in the USA on August 2nd.
“I’m so happy to be here right now,” he told the crowd, according to Sky News.
“That was a scary, humbling experience, but I’m here right now.”
“I can’t thank God enough, man, that was crazy. Hip hop never looked so strong together.”
“God is good, man, you know what I’m saying?”
The rapper was detained for almost one month, after his arrest on July 3rd.
He was detained following an alleged incident of assault, which Swedish authorities wanted to investigate while keeping the rapper in the country.
The case is ongoing in Swedish courts.
