A$AP Rocky being held in Swedish detention center after assault arrest

This doesn't look good

A$AP Rocky is being held in a Swedish detention center, following his arrest on Sunday.

On Friday, a Swedish court ruled that the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, poses a flight risk following his arrest for an alleged assault.

It’s believed Kendall Jenner’s ex will be detained at a detention center in Stockholm for two weeks while the authorities conduct an investigation into the incident.

Rocky was arrested on Sunday, June 30th, after him and his friends got into an altercation with two men on the street.

The rapper had posted videos of the men on Instagram, and said: “We don’t know these guys and we didn’t want trouble. They followed us for 4 blocks and they were slapping girls butts who passed. Give me a break.”

In the video, Rocky can be heard telling the men that they “didn’t want to fight” with them.

The arrest came at a seriously bad time for Rocky, as he’s in the middle of a festival tour.

He was forced to pull out of Irish festival Longitude at the last minute, and he’s had to cancel multiple gigs including his scheduled appearance at Wireless Festival in London on Sunday.

Rocky’s lawyer Henrik Olsson Lilja told the Times, “He of course is very disappointed and this is a catastrophe for his tour.”

A$AP maintains he acted in self-defense, and plans to appeal the Friday ruling.
