Where Are They Now? The Stars Of Total Xposure

The summer 0f 2009 launched the careers of a handful of hopefuls dying to become the next host for Xpose – and we’re looking at where the stars are today.

From stopping randomers on Grafton Street, to learning how to handle auto-cue, thousands of wannabe presenters entered but only a few made the final cut.

Here’s a few that have managed to keep their presenting careers going.

Daniella Moyles

2 NO FEE BT2 Calvin Klein Social

Still a top model, DJ and presenter – Daniella is probably one of the most recognisable faces from the reality competition.

Since making the final 10 of Total Xposure Daniella has gone on to host Bulletin TV for RTE, Oxegen TV for the former music festival and was even screen tested for E! News.

At the moment Daniella hosts breakfast show Fully Charged alongside Cormac Moore on SPIN 103.8 and also boasts a travel writing career.

But no matter what she does with her career we’ll never forget this awkward Anne Doyle interview (click to 2.25).

Stephen Byrne

Another star still recognisable today is RTE presenter Stephen Byrne.

Stephen has been on TwoTube for over two years and now he’s hosting it alongside Blathnaid Treacy on RTE 2.

Over the years Stephen has interviewed some pretty big celebs including Christopher Waltz, 5 Second of Summer and covered the Oscars for RTE.

He also works in 2FM most days, taking over from Ryan Tubridy when he moved to RTE Radio One, and we’re hoping he’ll have his own show in the new year.

Ruth O’Neill

Guests Arrive at the VIP Style Awards at The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin

She made it to the final 3 in Total Xposure and she’s been living a very glamorous life ever since.

Ruth has spent the last few years in LA, first working for VH1, ABC News and then of course on to E! News.

The Dubliner presenter worked for the top entertainment news channel in the world, rubbing shoulders with the likes of Giuliana Rancic.

Just a few weeks ago Ruth made her big return to Xpose, guest hosting for two nights.

So who knows, she could be the real winner after all.

Sean Munsanje

Launch of the The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Collection, Grafton Street

The actual winner of Total Xposure was Sean Munsanje and he’s still a presenter to this day.

Hosting FM104’s The Juice, Sean is on our airwaves every Sunday and can still be spotted at the biggest showbiz events.

He lasted six months on Xpose before leaving the TV3 flagship show.

Since then he’s gone on to interview a host of A-listers.

Edward Smith

Edward Smith-3-170

He made it to the final 20 in Total Xposure, and Edward is still apart of the showbiz scene now.

Just recently he hosted the green room for Strictly Against Breast Cancer for the second year in a row, working alongside Nicky Byrne.

The TV host is also a well-known publisher now, owning Suburbia Online and Suburbia Magazine.

The Dubliner also owns his own restaurant on Bachelor’s Walk called Bach 16.

Simon Atkins

Another face to remember is Simon Atkins.

He made it to the final 3 alongside Ruth and Sean but wasn’t really heard of much after.

However last year Simon seemed to have landed a big gig with MTV UK, hosting an English version of the popular show Catfish: The TV Show.

Simon was linked to the pilot version of the show which was set to include some Irish contestants too – but it’s never seen the light of day. (Oh dear).

Recently Simon was down to the last five finalists for E! UK’s search for a presenter.

But Simon is now in the UK and has been working on The Voice, BBQ Champ and All Star Mr and Mrs.

Michael O’Doherty

mod

He wasn’t a contestant, but judge Michael O’Doherty still deserves an ole mention.

He played up to his Mr Nasty persona on the show and never held back when it came to criticising the contestants.

Owner of VIP and Stellar magazine, Michael went on to star in Fade Street where he was equally as mean.

Simon Cowell eat your heart out.
