A new clip from the second installment of the James Dashner adapted series, The Maze Runner has been released, ahead of the film’s premiere this Friday.
The extended movie clip shows Dylan O’Brien’s Thomas and his fellow maze pals (including Thomas Sangster and Kaya Scodelario) running away from Aidan Gillen’s villainous character Janson.
The pair try to escape the building which they thought was their “safe haven” after they finally freed themselves from the maze.
The dystopian film is a new genre for Irish actor Aidan Gillen, but in this clip it is clear that he fits into the role well as the villain.
The Irish actor is well known for his roles in RTÉ’s Love/Hate, HBO’s Game of Thrones and the blockbuster film The Dark Knight Rises.
Last year, the film’s director Wes Ball admitted that he couldn’t be happier to have cast Aidan as the lead villain, and that he was his first choice for the character.Â
