Teresa Mannion on her viral weather report: 'I can't stop laughing at it'

Internet sensation Teresa Mannion has admitted that she “can’t stop laughing” at her infamous weather report.

The Galway journalist became an overnight celebrity after her broadcast for the Six One News in horrific weather conditions quickly went viral.

The clip has since been remixed and turned into a dance anthem for the clubs and Teresa couldn’t be happier.

“It is so funny. I just cannot stop laughing watching it,” she said.

“I was in a bubble of gale-force winds and heavy rain.”

“I had my ear piece in and turned up to full volume so that I could hear the studio in Dublin, and I was being pulled this way and that.”

“The Super Ceili video is wild but the safety message is very good in it, because they keep replaying my voice saying ‘don’t make unnecessary journeys, don’t take risks on treacherous roads’.”

“I have never experienced the Twitter machine in operation like that before,” she told The Herald.

Viral hit: The internet has turned Teresa into an overnight sensation

Teresa has experienced overnight fame as a result of the clip and gained thousands of new followers on social media.

“The phone has not stopped ringing and I have acquired thousands of followers out of nowhere. For the crew and I, physically that was one of the toughest weather reports.”

The reporter’s comments come after hundreds took to Twitter to praise Teresa for her performance in the grueling weather conditions.

Fans of the Galway star can now even get themselves a Teresa t-shirt.
