Boyzone star Shane Lynch has advised Niall Horan and the One Direction lads to welcome Zayn Malik back into the band.
The Dublin native insisted that the troubled 1D star may just need a break from the band before he decides to return.
“I would like to think the boys in maybe a year would welcome him back, if he wanted to return, as sometimes all you need is a break,” he said.

However, the former pop star believes Zayn has done the right thing by saying goodbye to the band last month.
“Every man has to walk in his own shoes. If you think you’ve had enough, then you have to get out.”
It comes after Shane has been busy hitting the gym as he gears up for his Men’s Health photoshoot.
