The first episode of new RTE drama Rebellion has aired and it seems the whole country enjoyed it immensely.
Airing in the same time slot Love/Hate used to be in, the series had big boots to fill but so far everyone is loving it.
Starring Ruth Bradley, Brian Gleeson, Charlie Murphy and Sarah Greene to name a few, the series has got off to a brilliant start.
From loving the female characters to enjoying the costumes, here’s the best tweets about the show:

But Who Cares When The Show Is Great
We live in a small country. Who cares if #Rebellion has lots of actors from Love/Hate? They’re excellent anyway.

In typical Irish fashion people are begrudging actors that have had more than one role on our own national broadcaster. #Rebellion

Surprised no-one’s mentioned that there’s a lot of the same actors from Love/Hate in #Rebellion, no wait 463688 people have, my bad…

The show was the top trend in Ireland all night, and with a second series already on the way, we really think this could be the new Love/Hate.
