Rock on! U2 makes their music game debut

U2 gearing up for a different kind of release as they are set to make their video game debut in Rock Band 4.

This is the first time the Irish band, who have 22 Grammy Awards and 170 million album sales to their name, have ever been featured in a music (or any) video game – and it’s a pretty big deal.

In 2009 when The Beatles: Rock Band was released, U2 expressed interest in appearing on a game, but only if they weren’t sharing disc space with multiple bands – however it seems they have now changed their minds.

The songs they will feature in Rock Band 4 will be I Will Follow taken from their debut album Boy, and Cedarwood Road from the group’s 2015 release Songs of Innocence.

Let’s hope more songs will be added in the future so we can rock out to all of our favourite U2 anthems.

Rock Band 4 releases on October 6th for Xbox One and Playstation 4.
