The nominations for the IFTA Television Awards have been released, and TV3’s own shows are leading the way in nominations.
Although just in it’s first year, the channel’s soap Red Rock has bagged six nominations, and only has to beat Fair City in the best soap category.
Shows like Mrs Browns Boys and 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy also got a boost with TV3’s breakfast show Ireland AM up for Best Entertainment alongside those two as well as The Voice of Ireland.
Seven nominations: Red Rock are leading the way
It’s the first year TV3 have taken over hosting duties from RTE, after they hosted the film and drama IFTAs this May.
