Yvonne Connolly and her daughter Ali launched the Aviva Soccer Sisters Easter Football Festival today.

The programme has been revamped to offer over 6,000 girls the opportunity to learn and play for free.

The TV presenter has a keen interest in sport, and will be helping out at their local camp in Malahide this Easter.

Speaking at the launch, Yvonne said: “People may not normally associate me with sport but I’m always looking for ways to get my kids involved in team and outdoor activities, so the Aviva Soccer Sisters camps are perfect for this.”

“Not only is it a great initiative but it’s free, so make sure you sign up to get your space over the Easter break!”

Aviva have teamed up with the FAI to help to double the amount of spaces available nationwide, with new “Come and Try” camps, where participants will receive a limited-edition Aviva Soccer Sisters Jersey, and an official FAI Aviva Soccer Sisters completion certificate.

The camps, blitzes and coaching workshops will run on various dates and locations throughout Ireland over the Easter school break from 15th until 26th April for young girls aged between 6 to 14 years old.
