Love/Hate star Peter Coonan will be hoping he didn’t splash out too much on his bizarre new haircut.

The RTE actor – who is starring in a new Gaiety Theatre production – this morning showed off his new look.

And it is miles away from his floppy-hair look playing gangster Fran in Love/Hate – amazingly giving him an even thuggish look.

He was snapped ahead of an appearance on Pat Kenny’s morning radio show on Newstalk.

Recently Peter – whose girlfriend just gave birth to their first child – told how difficult it was to leave her for work.

He is set to star as shamed Anglo boss David Drumm in a new TV3 film too.
