Comedian Brendan O’Carroll was mobbed this evening as Mrs Brown’s Boys D’Movie held its premiere.
The TV star was joined by the rest of the BBC show’s cast at the Savoy Cinema in O’Connell St, Dublin.
And Brendan told Goss.ie he hopes to be able to make two more films.

Beaming Brendan added that he decided to take a break from the TV series for a year to make the film as a “love letter” to Dublin.

“I wanted to write a love letter to Dublin but in particular I wanted to write a love letter to those women in Moore Street who’ve given me so much material and so much craic all my life and we did that,” he said.
“It was important to make a movie of Mrs Brown without losing the Mrs Brown audience and I think we’ve done that.”
