Irish actress Saoirse Ronan has revealed she was homesick whilst filming her latest flick Brooklyn.
The Hollywood star admitted she went through an identity crisis after moving out of her family home.
“By the time we made the film I’d essentially gone through Eilis’s journey,” she said.

“Even talking about it I get very emotional. I was right in the middle of feeling a deep, deep homesickness, missing my own mom and figuring out where I belonged in between these two places.
“When you move out on your own, you go through an identity crisis. ‘Who am I when I’m grown-up?’,” she told Now Toronto.
“It was raw for me to go through that, in life and in front of a camera.”
Although tipped for award success for her role in the flick, Saoirse admitted she was taking any “Oscar buzz” with a pinch of salt.
