It’s been revealed an Eastenders spin-off series is set to film in Dunmore East, County Waterford in the coming months.
Red Water will star much-loved soap stars Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie, who play Kat and Alfie in the long-standing British show, who go in search of her character’s long-lost son.
Shooting in the sunny south-east, producers have announced they are looking for locals to get in on the action for the six-part series.

Due to air this autumn, members of the public who want to appear as an extra in the show can attend an open casting on Friday at the Sailing Club, Dunmore East, between 4-8pm as well as The Central Arts on The Quay in Waterford this Saturday from 12-7pm.
“Now is the perfect time to take two of EastEnders’ best loved characters out of their comfort zone as they head to Ireland to search for answers to some very big questions,” executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins told the Irish Sun.
“My team here are very excited about creating a whole new drama that stands apart from EastEnders while taking our style of storytelling to a place of stories, myth, secrets and immeasurable beauty.”
