Jedward plan Eurovision comeback representing the UK

John and Edward Grimes, the duo that make up Jedward are planning a Eurovision comeback, but this time they want to represent the United Kingdom.

The extravagant twins, who rose to fame on The X Factor, have represented Ireland twice in the contest – in Dusseldorf in 2011 where they came 8th and in Baku in 2012 where they landed in 19th place.

It seems their Eurovision dream hasn’t died as they want to give it another go, only this time they’re turning their backs on Ireland and want to represent the UK.

Controversial: Jedward want to represent the UK in the Eurovision | VIPIRELAND.COM

“We know we are already popular in Eurovision and will have support across Britain to represent the UK because of the fan base we got in X Factor,” John said.

“We’re definitely up for it. We see this as the most fantastic opportunity. But this time, we are in it to win it,” Edward told the Irish Sun.

Their plans are certainly controversial with regard to their allegiance, but surely their heart lies with the Emerald Isle.
