Hozier hits all the high notes as his song becomes the second biggest track of 2015

Wicklow man Hozier is enjoying the sweet success of his music as Take Me To Church is currently the second biggest track in the UK.

The 25-year-old singer sold almost one million copies of the huge hit which saw him rise to worldwide fame.

Although the song has been hugely successful it never actually reached the number one in the UK singles chart, instead it spent 20 weeks climbing to the number 2 spot where it stayed for a fortnight.

Charts: Hozier is having massive chart success

The Bray native was beaten to the top spot by the super catchy Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, which sold a staggering 1.93 million.

Hozier wasn’t the only Irishman to feature in the charts as Ed Sheeran, whose grandparents were Irish, took the number 10 spot with Thinking Out Loud.

The Sedated singer has been enjoying massive success and has been playing a number of festivals this summer and he will headline Longitude on Friday the 17th of July.
