Hector is set to go to war with his former 2FM bosses as he gets ready to host rival breakfast show on Today FM.
The radio host will be covering for Ian Dempsey on the airwaves for two weeks in June.
The Today FM morning show regularly pulls in 187,000 listeners compared to the much smaller 100,000 for 2FM’s The Breakfast Republic – the show that replaced axed Hector.

“Hector is relishing going head-to-head with 2FM on the much bigger Ian Dempsey breakfast slot,” an insider told The Sun.
“The Soldiers of the Dawn are going to get their revenge.”
The Today FM star previously singled out new 2FM boss Dan Healy for axing him from the station.

“I can say categorically it wasn’t my decision to leave that radio show. A new guy came into 2FM, he made his decision” he revealed.
However, Dan has since hit back at Hector and slammed the star for his comments.
“Hector continues to do a terrible lot of mouthing about it but his breakfast show on 2FM simply wasn’t working.”
Following his latest outburst, the 2FM boss has said the radio host needs to “stop being angry”.
