The beauty pageant season is in full swing, and there’s already been a fall out before the actual ceremonies have even begun.
With Roz Purcell announcing that she is taking over Miss Universe Ireland this year, competing against the annual Miss Ireland contest, now a row has broken out with Miss University.
Miss University is best known for crowning former Miss Ireland Holly Carpenter, and this year the pageant was putting through another girl to the competition.

However after Goss.ie revealed the list of beauties competing in the contest this year, Miss Ireland Tweeted  none of the girls would be competing in their contest.
Speaking exclusively to Goss.ie organiser of Miss University, Ivan Cafolla said he was now putting the winner of Miss University into Miss Universe Ireland instead.
“We were going to put our winner into Miss Ireland but after that stupid tweet we won’t be,” he said.

“After that we will be going with Miss Universe Ireland now,” he added.
When contacted by Goss.ie Miss Ireland organisers said they were “not notified” by Ivano about his winner entering Miss Ireland this year.
“Miss University is a seperate competition. We have not been notified by Ivano if he was putting someone through,” they told Goss.ie.
