Known for his role of Tom Branson in Downton Abbey, Allen Leech clearly isn’t taking himself or award season too seriously as he joked about his red carpet posing.
Poking fun at himself at last night’s Critics Choice Awards, the actor said he needs a lesson from girlfriend Charlie Webster in how not to look so shifty.
He said: “So a lesson in “How to Red Carpet.. By Charlie Webster who looks radiant and then me who just looks like I need to poop!”

Joined by his presenter girlfriend Charlie Webster at the event, the Wicklow native is fast becoming a pro at walking red carpets.
He attended last week’s Golden Globes and will now be joining his Imitation Game cast mates at the Oscars.
The 32-year-old who plays John Cairncross in the film, had a lot to celebrate last night as it was nominated for eight Oscars, including Best Picture.
