The Donegal native has admitted that he would love to win the contest.

“I’m dreaming a little bit about it. I’m dreaming about getting the steps right and doing the steps,” he told The Irish Sun.

“There’s one dream I’m really looking forward to having. I’m looking forward to the dream when I land in Carrickfinn Airport on December 22 with the glitter ball with me.”

“I haven’t had that dream yet but I’m really looking forward to it. You just never know.”

Unfortunately for the crooner, Daniel’s legions of Irish fans are unable to vote on the show, however the TV star is hoping his UK fans will get behind him.

“All I can hope for is that people in the North and in Britain will,” he said.

“I have plenty of fans here (in England) and I’m hoping they’ll get behind me.”
