Brendan O’Connor has nabbed Kathryn Thomas’ stand in position on John Murray’s radio show.
The Voice of Ireland star regularly fills in for the Radio One host during his holidays – however it seems she’s been axed in favour of the Saturday Night Show host.
“Kathryn proved herself to be a natural for radio and was a big hit with John Murray’s listeners,” a source said.

The summer stint on the show was perfect for the Carlow native as it came straight after Operation Transformation each year when Kathryn could devote herself to radio.
Insiders say Kathryn will be shocked to discover her summer gig has been taken by Brendan.
“She will be very surprised that RTE didn’t split the month John is off, between herself and Brendan and that Brendan O’Connor has been given the entire month of July to host John’s show,” they told The Sun.

The news comes after Brendan’s recent controversy on The Saturday Night Show over racial remarks he made when discussing President Obama.
