Big-hearted Brendan O Carroll didn’t forget his roots today – after gifting someone €30,000 out of his own pocket.
The Mrs Brown’s Boys star was standing in for Marian Finucane when he made the donation.
A caller phoned in saying that he was financially in trouble and he was trying to get things going again by starting up a new business.
However he was finding it hard to get it off the ground due to the lack of funding.
But Brendan, stepped in and told the caller Eddie, “I’ve been very lucky, my movie opens this week which is going to make me a fortune.”
Brendan added that he will give the caller €30,000 to see if the idea will work.
