Brad Pitts new movie is causing concern among Irish farmers as livestock are ‘terrified’.

Lost City of Z is being produced by Brads company Plan B and parts are being filmed in Antrim where farmers animals are being frightened by the war movie.

“The explosions shook the house and windows and the boom echoed through the glen. My neighbour’s horses were in the field near the film set and they went spare, trying to jump the ditches,” one farmer told The Larne Times.

The farmer also revealed that numerous bomb sounds were going off all day causing poultry to flee.

“I went to Larne and when I came back the dog was shivering under a chair and the hens had all gone. Then I heard there had been another explosion while I was out,” he added.

Local residents have been sharing photos and videos online of the film set with smoke billowing to create a war scene which has been causing chaos on all farms in the area.

Support: Locals support film making but want notice about explosions

“Another neighbour’s cow and calf jumped the hedge and the cows were bellowing in fear. My neighbour was feeding bulls in the field when it happened. They stampeded and knocked him and the feeding trough over,” he explained.

While the people of Ballygally support film making they wanted notice for explosions.

“If we had a schedule, we could put the animals into barns. At the minute we are on tenterhooks,” he added.
