Bono pleads 'mercy' for refugees on stage in Belfast

Bono has called on Europe to show mercy to refugees on stage at U2’s Belfast gig, following the devastating terrorist attacks that took place in Paris last Friday.

The Irish rock band had to cancel two high-profile gigs in the French capital after the terrible events that took place in the city, killing at least 129 people and leaving hundreds injured.

The U2 frontman took to the stage in Belfast and asked the concert audience if they wanted “a Europe with it’s heart open or it’s borders closed to mercy.”
